Spring 2026: Partnerships Update

Every sponsorship, partnership and donation helps the Rottnest Foundation raise awareness and much needed funds for the future of Wadjemup.  Our three most recent partnerships are speaking to a new generation of up-and-coming conservationists, encouraging them to care for Wadjemup / Rottnest Island and help them develop a knowledge of sustainability, understanding and appreciation of the island’s unique environment.

UniSport

We’re proud to share that the Rottnest Foundation was selected as one of three charity partners for UniSport Nationals Perth 2026.  As part of their registration, student athletes were invited to make a $2.50 donation to support one of three Western Australian conservation organisations, including the Rottnest Foundation.   During the event, we were excited to host a stand at Unifest, to engage with the students and tell them more about the work of the Foundation.

Generously, UniSport committed to matching every donation, dollar-for-dollar, doubling the impact of each contribution. It’s wonderful to hear that 5,329 students (that's approximately 95%) chose to give back! This resulted in a donation of $8,881 to the Rottnest Foundation, which will help support the conservation of Wadjemup's unique environmental, cultural and heritage assets for generations to come.

Our thanks to Everclime, the official sustainability partner for UniSport Australia, for nominating the Rottnest Foundation to be one of the chosen charity partners for the 2026 UniSport Nationals

Rottnest Express Great Quokka Search

Over the September/October school holidays we provided the prizes for The Great Rottnest Express Quokka Search.  During the school holidays, families visiting Rottnest Island joined the hunt for 10 hidden quokka characters around the Island, with every participant helping to support quokka conservation.  Thank you to Rottnest Express for the opportunity to be part of the Search and for your contribution to habitat rehabilitation for quokkas on Wadjemup.

Quokka Soccer

Quokka Soccer is a kids soccer coaching program run in Perth’s southern suburbs, offering training and skills in a fun, non-competitive environment.  We are delighted to partner with Quokka Soccer, who are donating $1 from every enrolment to the Rottnest Foundation.  This will support vital conservation projects and ongoing quokka habitat revegetation, helping ensure the long-term wellbeing of quokkas for future generations.

If you’re interested in partnering with us send an email to info@rottnestfoundation.org.au, or if you’d like to make a one-off donation, go to our donation page now!
