Rottnest Foundation receives Lotterywest Grant

The Rottnest Foundation are excited to announce we have been awarded a Lotterywest Grant of $190,000 for internal capacity building and resource development.

This year the Rottnest Foundation will be celebrating its 40-year anniversary.  Over that time, we are incredibly proud to have raised over $3.6 million for conservation projects and initiatives, the impact of which can be seen all over the island.

Now, as we look to the future, we are setting our sights higher, with three visionary projects in the pipeline, that are set to transform Wadjemup and conserve its unique environmental, cultural and heritage assets for future generations.

To accomplish our vision, it is crucial for the Rottnest Foundation to invest in internal systems and resources, expand our scale, and improve our efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring the maximum amount of funds we raise as a charity, are re-invested into conservation initiatives on Rottnest Island.

This amazing grant from Lotterywest will set the Foundation up for a successful future.  A future where we can progress our visionary projects and continue our work educating visitors and encouraging them to care for and appreciate Rottnest Island.
