40th Anniversary Celebration

2025 marks the 40th anniversary of the Rottnest Foundation and we’re excited to celebrate! 

Established in 1985 by Pat Barblett, the Rottnest Foundation (or the Des Sullivan Foundation as it was then known) aimed to educate the public about the unique environment, culture and heritage of Rottnest and raise funds for conservation initiatives.  A mission the Foundation continues to strive towards. 

Our anniversary event will be held following our AGM on 26th November.  We are looking forward to celebrating the incredible achievements of the Rottnest Foundation and acknowledging the contributions from our many key members over the years and the critical role they’ve played in the successes of the Foundation.   

This amazing milestone for the Rottnest Foundation is also an opportunity to look to the future, to what the Foundation is aiming to achieve in the next 10 years.  We are certainly poised for a period of ambitious growth through our Visionary Projects, Capacity Building Project, strong partnership with the RIA, and with the incredible continuing support from our members and business partners.    

We’re looking forward to making the next 10 years our best ever.
