To conserve and enhance the unique environmental, cultural and heritage assets of Wadjemup (Rottnest Island).

Welcome

Rottnest Island is rich in biodiversity, breathtaking naturescapes and layers of cultural history. It is as equally magnificent, as it is vulnerable, which is why it needs our help!

OUr Purpose

We develop relationships and raise funds for projects which support the sustainability of the Island for generations to come.

GET INVOLVED

The Rottnest Foundation was formed to provide anyone who loves Rottnest Island an opportunity to get involved in its conservation, to ensure it is maintained to be enjoyed by generations for years to come.

Current Projects

The Rottnest Foundation works in partnership with the Rottnest Island Authority and corporate and Government partners in the delivery of major  projects that  ‘Conserve the essence of Rottnest’.

Wadjemup Bidi

The Wadjemup Bidi project consists of a 45 km network of trails that will facilitate public access and connection to the Island’s rich natural features, abundant wildlife & unique cultural heritage whilst also providing a strategy to minimise the pressures of tourism on the natural environment.

Aboriginal Burial Ground

The Rottnest Foundation is actively seeking funds to support the conservation of the Aboriginal Burial Ground on Wadjemup (Rottnest Island), Western Australia.
