Set for Summer - Stage 2 Containers for Change

The Rottnest Foundation has been partnering with Containers for Change since 2021 and in that time, we’ve raised nearly $10,000 for conservation activities.    

And by collaborating with Programmed, Rottnest Fast Ferries and the WA Scout Association, we’ve been able to remove over 75,000 containers from Rottnest Island and keep them out of landfill!   

We’ve been working hard with a number of Island businesses to add more Containers for Change bins to get more recyclables off the island. 

We’re excited to announce that The Lodge, Pelicans, The Lane, Simmos, Havza, RI Movies and Mini Golf, Lexi’s, Kalli’s and Discovery have all come on board and will have their new Containers for Change bins ready for the start of summer!   

This is part of a staged roll-out and we look forward to signing on even more businesses as we progress through 2026.
