Accessibility Initiatives

In partnership with the Department of Communities, the Rottnest Foundation funded an All-Terrain Wheelchair and Walker allowing those with limited mobility access to the beaches of Thomson Bay.

In 2000, the Rottnest Foundation partnered with Lotterywest to support architectural design upgrades to allow wheelchair access for select accommodation.

In 1999, the Rottnest Foundation funded the construction of a ramp at the Sergeants Mess at Kingstown Barracks to improve access for visitors with limited mobility.

Also in 1999, the Rottnest Foundation contributed towards the production of the Accessible Island Manual.
