About us

Since 1985, the Rottnest Foundation has been 'conserving the essence of Rottnest' by raising funds and encouraging community involvement in projects that enhance the Island's unique environmental, cultural, and heritage assets.

The Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit, registered charity, endorsed by the Australian Government as an environmental organisation.

The affairs of the Foundation are managed exclusively by a voluntary Board of Management. The Foundation Board has representation from a variety of community and business leaders.

Outside of being a Board or General Member of Rottnest Foundation, there are many ways you can be involved and support the sustainability of Wadjemup for generations to come.

Strategic Partners

The Rottnest Foundation works in partnership with the Rottnest Island Authority, corporate partners and funders in the delivery of projects that “Conserve the essence of Wadjemup”.
