This Easter, purchase a ‘Chokka the Quokka’ and support Quokka conservation on Rottnest Island.

Rottnest Foundation Chairman Jeff King, gratefully received another $5,000 cheque from Martin Black, co-founder of the Margaret River Chocolate Company, at their Perth Store on Friday 23 March.  Since 2017, ‘Chokka the Quokka’ has generated $10,000, with $2 from every sale being donated to the Rottnest Foundation.

The funds will support a Quokka Monitoring Program which will be launched in Spring this year.  The program is backed by a three-year research project in collaboration with The University of Western Australia which identified benchmarks and sustainable management practices for our much-loved quokka.

The chocolate quokkas, also available in a flat pack, can now be purchased on Rottnest Island from the Visitor Centre at the base of the jetty, in addition to the Margaret River Chocolate Company’s Margaret River, Swan ValleyValley and Perth locations.
