The Margaret River Chocolate Company has immortalised its popular Chokka the Quokka character with a funky new t-shirt range, inspired by Andy Warhol.

Like the chocolate versions of Chokka the Quokka, part proceeds from sales will go to the Rottnest Foundation to support quokka conservation and research projects.  Sales of Chokka the Quokka have already raised from than $10,000 for the Foundation and an additional $8,000 for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).

The WWF donation was specifically to support a quokka recovery program that stemmed from devastating bushfires in the south-west that decimated the local quokka populations.

The Rottnest Foundation is grateful of the partnership it has with the Margaret River Chocolate Company.  The funds will support a quokka monitoring program that will commence in the Spring in partnership with the Rottnest Island Authority and based on research undertaken by the Univerity of Western Australia.

Chokka the Quokka t-shirts are available at the visitor centre on Rottnest and at the Margaret River Chocolate Company factories in the Swan Valley and Margaret River and their Perth store in Murray Street.
